Well a 55 might house them ok for a while, but they are typically placed in ponds as they need a lot of space. You should consider re-homing them at some point. The gold fish will also grow large and a 55g may be a better home for him in the long run, but that's probably cutting it close as well. I had a gold fish that got large and I put him in a friends pond as even my 110 wouldn't have been suitable for him. I do have a lot of other fish as well though. I would do some research on the housing requirements for those breeds.
