    I will let you know if I find anything but so far searching the web has not yielded anything of use. Your story is the only one I found that resembles mine. If your fish is really like mine (and it sure looks like it) he may still enjoy many months of a good life.

    As far as parasites go, see if you can find a magnifying glass with a light on it and have a look - I was able to see the tumor very clearly. It is quite clean and granular - little lumps. Very typical of tumors. Unless he nicks it, it should stay clean of rot etc. I would remove any pointy objects you may have in the tank (good idea anyway).     I can't really help ya' out but I feel your concern . Just keep an eye on him and do your best. I'm sure you already know you will find out what is the best course of action from the great people of the AC . Good luck and keep us posted.
