Black Kuhli Loachs burrowing under gravel?
I just purchased 3 black kuhli loachs about 2 days ago. They are about 1.5'' each(smaller then expected). They are burrowing themselves underneath the gravel . I do not really have any hiding locations for them in the tank they are currently in(5 gallon, until they get a little over 2'') . I will purchase a small cave for them if they would use it.

My question is - are they doing this because the gravel is river rocks, because only 1 hiding location,or is it normal?
1st Post so, sorry if this is the wrong location , it seemed like the best spot.

Kuhli loaches like to burrow in the substrate, so this is natural behavior for them. I have kept many kuhli loaches and in my experience, if you give them more options for above ground hiding they will take them.If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
A moderator on a fish forum should be able to identify an oscar... Don't you think?

Alright, thanks! Just making sure that its normal and not something odd/wrong with them. I will add some hiding spots then.
