Could i use a little coconut hut in my coldwater aquarium for my java fern?
So i have ordered a java fern plant in my petshop and i was planning to tie it to a piece of driftwood but i thought it would look cool if i could get one of those little coconut huts for rodents from my petshop and use it instead of driftwood.
Would this work? or would it just float and have to be weighed down someway? i was thinking that id it was going to float i could use some silicone to glue a rock to the inside of it so would that maybe work?
and while im talking about it would the java fern even root into it (not really sure if rooted is even the term)?
Any help would be really appreciated

Coconuts makes good caves. I am however not sure about the coconut huts. Are they made of just the inner shell of the coconut or is the outher shell still attached. If the outher shell is still attached it will be very hard to get them to sink.Do as I say. Not as I do.
