Lovely photos. They all look great. Are your rotties guard dogs? What happened to their tails?

They are guard dogs in a sense but lives in my home. All the materials in the pictures are due to construction work going on in my home. I spend most time in another rental house but my father in law lives there full time.

Their tails have been docked. That is done with all rotweilers here at a very young age. Before they are put on the market. It is a questionable practice but atleast here the puppies are put under using anesthesia and it is done surgically by a vet. The wound is then stiched. (no rubber bands on the tail and other practises that have been common in some areas including sweden before docking was banned)

I got the male shortly after it had been performed (the next day) and he never showed any signs of pain except for once when he backed into a chair leg white the tumb.

I am divided about it since it is a bit cruel but it is also very common for this rather clumpsy dogs to break their tails.

Ah right, ok. It's common to see them with tails here in the UK now.

Leo looks very handsome - got a clearer photo of him? I've never seen that breed mix before. He looks great.
