WOW! Bloody hell that's fantastic! I've never seen lemon tetras with such good colour and those wild-type discus are stunning. Why anyone would keep the captive colour strains I've no idea.

Well, if your FW tank is anything to go by your SW one is going to be epic.

thanks firefly. don't know how I'm going to make rocks look good without corals, but I have a plan for some beautiful fish.

You could always opt for some low level lighting corals.

Are you going to be using the discus tank to set up the new SW tank or getting a new tank?

Firefly, I think it's time you setup a discus tank!

thinking of using this tank and going sumpless. with my back problems I think it will be easier with a hang on skimmer instead of doing everything under the tank. just live rock and powerheads for my filtration.

Ah ha...no way. For two main reasons:
    1. Despite their beauty, I don't actually find them very interesting. (sorry!)
    2. I have my dream big tank already and it's fully stocked!

That really is a stunning tank. I love it.

To bad it is being replaced but I can understand your reasons. I also find the fish in question stunning but a bit booring.

I agree with you. if not for the lemons, there would'nt be any movement in the tank at all. as beautiful as they are, discus are boring. if not salt, I would go back to African cichlids. now they are some active fish.

Lol, you think discus is boring? Try a frogfish.....It just sits there and stare back at you unless it's hunting for food.

Wow, absolutely beautiful display of fish and aquascaping. The wilds are lovely the lemon tetras are really vibrant and I just love the whole set up. I wish I had seen it prior to starting mine, would have definitely copied the substrate, very natural looking.
Good luck with your salt water tank, I'm sure it will be amazing!
