  1. Default Black Skirt with black fungus

A couple of my Black Skirts have developed small bits of black fungus on their fins. I've also noticed that I've lost several of them that I didn't even realize. I'm trying to figure out what disease this is so I can medicate properly. Here's a picture:

Sorry about the quality not being great (had to take him out of the tank and put him in a jar for a minute in order to take a picture), but the things to see are there is a black spot by the dorsal fin as well as a black spot in front of the anal fin. It looks like a fungus of some kind but I've never seen a black fungus before, so I'm not sure which medication would be best. If I knew the name of the disease it would be very helpful.

I don't know anything about what it could be, but is he skinny? Or is the jar just distorting him a bit?

Could it be a parasite as opposed to a fungus? Maybe this would get more specific answers in the fish diseases forum since the people looking there are likely to have experience with these types of issues.

He's not thin at all, that's just the distortion. He's active and eating well and everything. The black stuff is the only visible symptom.

And sorry I didn't realize there was a disease subforum. If a mod wants to move this thread there that would be fine.
