I, I am a aquarium enthusiast that currently is the owner of a 28L aquarium with a Goldfish in it. I suspect he is about 6 or 7 years old and has been with me since he was very young. I bought him as company when I was at uni, and he has stayed with me ever since. Recently, I have been looking for suitable fish to add to his tank to brighten up the tank and keep the algae a bit under control, hence joining this forum.
I am vastly limited by the space of my living room, otherwise I would have easily gone out and bought a 200L aquarium (I used to have one when I was young)
for reference, here is a picture of my "pride and joy"

Welcome to the forum, I do hope you learn a lot.
I hate to break it to you but 28 litres is woefully inadequate for a common goldfish like that. This fish is no doubt stunted from cramped living conditions and bad water quality (they are very high waste producers). If I were you I would find someone with a pond or upgrade the tank to something at least 200 litres."Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known." Carl Sagan

Welcome to the forum! You came to the right place for advice. In my opinion this is by far the best information source for aquariums. As stated above your fish friend would greatly appreciate a larger tank. He will be happier and so will you!Empty 10g
