i don't know much about nerite snails. do they really get a LOT of algae gone.
i have bba, diatoms, and even green algae
i hear some people say, "i kept a goldfish in a bowl and it lived for a year."
they don't know how lucky they were and all goldfish live at least 15 years in proper conditions.
that is equal to saying my human lived in his closet for 5 years!

so far i am loving this snail thing.
    one problem though.
they need cooler water than most of my fish.
their comterable at 72-77 farinheight. my water is at 80-81.
    is that good enough?
also they are sensitive to cooper. does my algae product contain copper.

Perhaps you're running your tank too warm. 80f is 26.6celcius, that's warm for a lot of fish but it should be acceptable to the snails.

Have a look at your algae product, see if you can find the msds or find out if it's invert safe.

Only thing I have heard of algae fix is that it killed the fish. Makes more sense to me to move the tank out of the sunlight rather than subjecting the fish to harsh chemicals.

believe me hobbs this is the 2nd last resort.
the only thing i could have done was try seachem excel plus.
i just didn't think it would work since i don't have much plants or room for more
EDIT:and can't move tank anywhere else, don't have room
