hey everyone so i was doing a little messing around on AqAdvisor trying to see what all gouramis can live in a 10 gallon. That when i went and clicked display only suitable species for your tank and that when i saw the pearl gouramis name and i looked at pictures of it (beautiful fish). So that's when i clicked (along with 4 bronze corys) the totally stocking was 99% .Will this work or is the stocking wrong(this is all i will get if it works) http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/aqua...newthread&f=53

A 10g tank is not sufficient space for Pearl Gourami, species Trichopodus leerii. This fish will attain almost 5 inches, and requires at minimum a 3-foot tank.

The only gourami suitable in a 10g are some of the smaller species, the most commonly seen is probably the sparkling gourami, Trichopsis pumila, and you could have a small group, say 3-5 in a planted 10g. Lots of floating plants, and this gourami, like most, spends its time browsing floating plant roots and leaves for food.

Aqadvisor is good for a (very) rough idea of stocking, but it does have its shortcomings.
As mentioned, pearl gouramis will exceed 4 inches, and bronze cories aren't the smallest cories either, each reaching 3 inches and also needing a school of 6 or more. For a tank that size, how about trying 8 dwarf or pygmy cories along with a single betta, croaking or honey gourami(one of them, not one of each).

I'd think a dwarf gourami would be okay in a tank that size.

This thread is kind of old (>6 months). So I'm hoping they have settled on their stocking by now!
