I have 5 blue cobalt angelfish in with lots of tetra and swordtail.
They are medium sized and I'm wondering when angelfish begin to pair off
and if they will be aggressive towards my community fish.

8-12 months in my experience to be fully mature. But each pair/fish is different. I have a pair that sat in my show tank for 3 months acting like a pair, moved them to a 10 for a month to try and get them to breed with no luck, throw them back in the show tank and they breed a week later, pull them out of the show tank and put them BACK into the 10 gallon and they spawn AGAIN 5 days later, they will do it when they want to not when you want them to. They will be aggressive to anything in the tank and around the tank when they spawn.

Thanks, my group of angels is only 7 months old so I'll have a while to figure out where to put them.
