Just a reminder that would be easy to overlook in the excitement if adding the sand to the tank (at least, easy for me to overlook): remember to clean your tank before adding the sand so you don't have to remove the PFS later to clean the tank before filling.

    Oh, and send pics!
Thanks for the tips goldy, but after talking to a few others here I was told PFS does not really need cleaning like some of the other types...I will use a method when filling the tank that will help keep the sand down...PFS is supposedly pre-washed

Just make sure you don't end up drinking the water and washing the tank with the Miller... then again, the fish might appreciate the unique flavor to the water!

Tank looks great with the sand!

For planting, I would have at least 2" of substrate in there.

I agree with SueD, completely. It is easier to plant a tank with deeper substrate.
When I go fishing I just place a sharp rock in the water and sit there waiting for all the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher
Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
