Speaking of ordering fish, I see TWS has Rummy nose listed from two different locations again, good news for you, is that the Colombians are listed at 1.25".

Yeah, it was mostly weeds and stuff, but the clover patches were up to my knees, lol...most of the neighbors around me cut yesterday, so mine stood out like a sore thumb...plus, 90% chance of rain tonight, and the ground is already saturated, so went ahead and knocked it out

I am keeping an eye on the weather, though. If we get snow tonight/tomorrow, I probably won't send anything until Wednesday or so. Not sure about ordering the fish, either, if this crap keeps up. ;/ I'm hoping that the snow melts pretty quickly and it warms up after the storm passes. That being said, the plants should be fine, and the snails typically can live in pretty cold water, so they'd probably be ok, too. Pest snails are literally the most resilient things I've ever had in my tanks. They survive ammonia in the 4ppm range, they survive brackish water for an extended period of time, they survive in tanks left alone without filtration or a heater, with no water changes or top offs. lol Worst pests ever. ;P
I was wondering if you were going to be able to get your fish with the weather turning to cold crap again...sucks if you have to wait, I know you're anxious for them

Just let me know with the plants/pests...if you can't get to it this week or the weather is too cold, no big deal, I can wait

A different experience with nerites/assasins I guess, but not my experience. I've also added a red striped one to a third tank about a month ago with only one assassin and both are still in there.

Thanks Sue...just one of those things that some people experience, and some don't...may be related to what other food the assassins have at their disposal (?)...

That is good news. Great news for me, anyway. =]

Yeah, I can't believe we're getting another storm tonight... ridiculous. We've had 4 months of winter weather, because it cooled off much earlier this year. I'm really looking forward to Spring/Summer.

Ok, sounds good. I'll continue to keep an eye on the weather and let you know when things will go out.

You're crazy Sue!@$ You're playing with fire!@$ All hell will break loose!!!!!!! ;P

Either that, or you'll be fine. I suppose some Assassins are picky about their food selection, much like other fish available for the aquarium.

Yeah, I crossed my fingers when I added the first nerite to the assassins' den. But since it's over a year now, I guess they're safe. Maybe it's the drab olive color not looking too appetizing! Now, the red one is a beauty (comparatively speaking) so I'll keep watching there.

I've also heard that they're pretty lazy. If a snail is too big or too fast, they usually won't bother. lol
