High ph+ highish temps + any ammonia is deadly to all sensitive fish. Cories have it hard because the lower in the tank the worste the water quality is. I would look for an ammonia detoxifier, prime and amonia lock will do that nicely. Keep up with some pwc to keep the water quality good.

How do you get an ammonia reading of .1? do you mean 1ppm? If so, that's way too high and would cause your deaths. It also means your tank is not cycled. How long has the tank been set up? If you did attempt to cycle it, how long ago was that? How did you cycle it?. These answers will all help.

If it's not the ammonia (if it does in fact read .1ppm not 1ppm) and if you tank is fully cycled, then I'd look toward the heater.
I'm not sure what's going on there but if it looks like it's rusty, I'd get it out of there and get a new one. It may be malfunctioning.
What is the temp in your tank?

That is very warm for most fish, i think those fish top out around 80*f..... Thats 83 and some change. Is that the same temp as the room? Do a 50% wc now, and every time you see any ammonia reading.

still not understanding how you get a .1ppm reading but yellow is good :o)
    Let's hope it's the heater.

Your nitrates are a little high but not enough to do that kind of damage. I'd do as genocide suggested and make several partial water changes. Water changes are always good. You beneficial bacterial lives in your filters and filter media (and some in the gravel and on decor) but not in your water so you can change out as much water as you like.
Do a few partial (like 50%) this week then go to 50% weekly water changes and see if that doesn't help.
Fingers crossed it was the heater. absolutely turn it down - again, as geno suggested. 78F should be plenty high and constant temp is important. try to replace the water you remove with water of the same temp.
also use a good water conditioner.

Warm weather will cause warm tank, thats why i was asking about the room temp. If its 28.5 just like the tank then its the warm weather doing that. Another things that will help the fish calm down a bit would be shutting off the lights. That will also help the tank cool a bit. Add some oxygenation too. A bubbler would help a bit too

If you have a lid over the tank take it off, I don't see any of the stock being a threat for jumping, this will help cool the tank down. If that doesn't do it you can get clip on fans to cool the tank. They blow across the top of the water and help to cool it down. As for the heater issue I would set it and 78 and see what the temp in the tank is. If its still to hot set the temp at 76 then wait and see if needed to compensate keep turning the heater down (take it slow though every 24 checking through out the day to make sure you don't lower the temp to fast). Do that until the hot weather/cooling methods/heater balance out so the tank is roughly 78 degrees.
