I tend to shoot a lot of bird pictures but in this time of year with the dense foliage everywhere I have to switch to other flying animals.

This time of year is not suitable for birding but, there's other things that fly.

Hmm those are butterflys and not moths? Great pics but most of my moths look a lot like that. *pardon the ignorance on your natives*

The first is definitely not a moth but a butterfly, the second may well be a moth.

judging by it's p0sture, eyes, antennae type and wing structure it appears t0 be a butterfly with subdued c0l0rati0n.

Very interesting. I was one of those kids with collections of all the different dead bugs I found and even successfully kept monarch butterflys. Really like the photos. If you get names of them, I would love to know the names.

They are both butterflies...among other things: knobbed antennae.

The differences between butterflies and moths is largely artificial regardless...they are just broad characterisations for quick differentiation...

Nice pics!!! Looking forward to seeing more!

    Great pics Talldutchie.

You certainly have great photography skills
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
