Breeding tank please help
Hi folks have just set up a breeding tank its only 35 litres, i have taken water from my main tank to fill it up, how long should i run this for before its safe to put my fry in as i sadly put one baby fry in there and it only lasted a week after i did tests No2 seemed high i have a filter in there with foam and carbon its an Elite stingray 10 which filters up to 50l tanks and have the temp set at 25oC i would be most appreciated with advice

The water alone will not make your breeder tank cycled as it does not contain enough bacteria
You have to look at this breeder tank either a a complete new set up and cycle it like you would any other tank or you can seed it by squeezing out some filter material from your established tank into the filter of the breeder tank (the gunky brown bacteria stuff that accumulates in the filter) this should cycle it a lot lot quicker.
