Yea, don;t have a huge interest in rays anyway. I would love a snake-head but like sandz says they're illegal. Id keep one anyway if I could get a hold of one but the really cool ones are too big for a 90g, they need like a 400g.

Ohh I'm sorry I didn't see that you lived in Florida. I live in NJ so I don't really have any issues with legality of owning certain tropical fish. Every tropical fish I could ever hope to own would perish in the wild when winter arrived. And I'm not too sure they're are some gorgeous species that do well in smaller tanks. I'd list some but obviously that'd be futile since its illegal for you to own them. And yeah most people tend not to really like rays. I do, I think they're interesting and if you have the correct tank for one they're fun to watch.

You could go with some more native species? The US has some gorgeous sunfish species.

Or maybe a school of eartheaters or other cichlid? http://www.seriouslyfish.com/group/cichlids

This is the type of snake head I would really love to own:

Look them up on youtube, something about the way they move and just shred their food really makes them interesting.

Giant Snakehead? They're cool tbh. But I love the snakehead look just smaller. That's why I want the channa sp. fire and ice. They're coloration is GORGEOUS and they have the same attitude and build as the larger species. Only grow to about 6 inches. They could do well in a group or pair in a 90, and could live amongst larger cichlids and schooling fish. They're almost impossible to find outside of forums with private breeders though XD

Since your in Florida though I, personally, would go the route of schooling cichlids such as eartheaters or US native fish. The US has some GORGEOUS sunfish.

5 Balas. There is just something about seeing massive silver darts swimming around in a tank. They get large, they have very shiny scales, and they stay active even when they are full grown.
