Adding another voice for pond snail.
And you only need one pond snail for it to reproduce. I don't know how likely this is, but there also could have been an egg on your golden snail's shell.

Another question though, I'm wanting to keep the pond snails. Do you think that the Chinese Algae Eaters will eat them? If so, would you suggest that I move them to a separate tank?
