Default Gourami + Discus + ghost shrimp???

My current tank details are in my signature.. I am looking to slowly introduce some new fish.. will give away the dollars and columbian shark to a friend.

I want to know if the following fishes go well together in a community tank - angel fish (pearl white), three-spot gourami, discus and ghost shrimp
The first ones to come will be the angelfish and gourami (as they are currently available at my neighborhood aquarist.. images i clicked today are attached.. just loved the little angelfishes )... so they will need to live with the shark and dollar for some time

What are your thoughts on this?
In the longer term, i am yet undecided whether to go for a predominatly gourami setup or discus...
    My Current tank:
    36 x 18 x 18 (inches), ~50 US Gallon
Kennyi Cichlid (1 in), Flowerhorn (5-6 in)

Discus are no community fish, people design tanks around them. Your current would be too small for that. Angels and gouramis is likely an explosive mix.

Agreed. If you want to do discus you need to step back and really plan your tank on those. They get huge, need special water conditions with water changes every single day, they really need allot of work.

I would make it either an angel OR gourami tank, but not both. And just about everything you mentioned would love the ghost shrimp, as dinner lol.

Thanks much guys! I'm going to make it an angel tank :)
Was thinking of adding gouramis and/or discus to add some color to the community.. i haven't seen angels at my local store in colors other than a combination of blacks and whites/silvers

Honestly, everything in your tank needs a new home. Standard plecos get huge, goldfish get huge... You planning around a single angel, some corries and a few larger bodied tetra (like lemons or columbians) would be the best stocking.

The Iridescent sharks will easily be the biggest fish by far (with sizes ar0und 4 feet and weight up t0 80 lbs, under the right circumstances). The blue gourami (three sp0t) get pretty 0bn0xi0us with other tank mates and might d0 best if it was the 0nly gourami in t0wn. 1 angelfish w0uld be 0k but 2 in a 25 w0uld be cramped and it w0uld be all 0ut war with 2 males. The columbians are great tetras, I have 7 0f them and are beautifully behaved with everyone else.
When in d0ubt read it until it makes sense, then read it again!
