    My son and his GF will help out...esp. at the beginning until the kitties learn the house rules...like not terrorizing parrots...not digging up the houseplants...and not letting dogs eat them...etc.

    And they will help change kitty litter.

    Once we're past the 'young cat' stage and they know the rules, it won't be quite so bad. But in the meantime I'm inclined to be a bit paranoid.

    My...what BIG eyes she has! By her head shape I'm guessing she must have some (a lot?) of siamese in her?

    I don't know, i got another one which is her sister and she is a Tortie with a typical tortie face (atleast that's what i think) and their mother was a stray tabby who didn't like any people (used to work at an "animal ambulance") and i couldn't leave the last two behind.
    I just consider them European shorthair.
    Here's the two of them together with Nene on the left and Panthera on the right;

    I agree - quite beautiful. They're sleeker than all my guys...who have the more boxy 'apple' type head (which I also love)...

    I wanted a siamese for years...and then a devon rex...

    But Fates have decided I need DSHs more...lol.

    I guess they did! :D

    I took them for their first set of shots yesterday. They're nice and healthy...got them on a worming regime and will follow up on their ears and make sure I got all the ear mites cleared up.

    The male has a bit of an eye irritation, so I need to continue with eye drops...but otherwise...they're all good.

    Once we're done with worming and ear mites I can let them run more 'free' in house without worrying about the senior cats picking up bugs...

    Well...the eye irritation is still there...so we went back to the vet...and he has what may be chronic conjunctivitis and we're now trying to clear it up with prednisone drops. It's not bad, but it would be nice if he didn't have it...the drops seem to be helping a little bit...but it hasn't cleared up completely...which may be a bad sign...

    Barn cat colour genetics: The boys found another batch of kittens...this would be the third since we took in Prosper and Mehitabel. Colours? Orange male...grey female. Same as the other two litters...just funny...it's an orange and grey cat year for us apparently...no other colours...
