10 Gallon Stocking/Compatibility Questions!! Any Thoughts Welcomed!
I am in a bit of a conundrum, I currently have a 10 gallon tank, that has 3 platies, 2 female, 1 male, one "mickey mouse" platy, and the other two are painted platies. Now, I have a rather aggressive male and female platy, the male is aggressive toward the other female painted platy (he relentlessly chases her around), and the female painted platy is aggressive towards the other female "mickey mouse" platy.
1) I was thinking about adding, neon tetras, to this tank, would 5 be too overstocked?
2) Would Neon tetras be a good match?
3) Should I stick to platies? (they're like pooping machines!). Im a little afraid to add other fish other than platies since it seems both male and female painted platy show aggressive behavior. Maybe I should just add another female platy?
Any thoughts would be nice!

my guess is the chasing is the male trying to breed with the female, either that or she is having babies and they are being eaten.
Personally i don't think a platy is really meant for a 10g tank... typically 10g tanks are best for a "micro" fish school or two, or a betta

Or I COULD just go with 2 females and than some other types of fish. Any suggestions? My aquarium looks empty, especially if I take out the male platy, the females usually hide when I'm near their tank.
As for my levels, before I responded, took some tests: Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 10.
