Personally, I also don't see the point in putting a fish in a 2.5g no matter how young the fish is. That size tank is a torture chamber in my damning opinion and should not even be sold. If you have a cycled 5g that you seem to intend to put the fish in eventually, why not buy a few floating plants and put the fish in it now. Still seems like a better option over an uncycled 2.5g no matter how many water changes you are going to do.If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
A moderator on a fish forum should be able to identify an oscar... Don't you think?

So, between boyfish being so skittish and water quality issues I'm having in his tank, I decided to put the plants I had been saving for the tank I'm setting up into his tank instead. And this is what it now looks like!
