MTS, here I come...
I just picked up two tanks from a CL ad. One 6 gal, one 29 gal. So now I have another male betta tank and a future sorority tank. Both need some cleaning and accessories, but that just means I can spend more time getting them set up. :)
I'll probably end up doing DIY filtration on both...
I have also decided that 29gal glass tanks are the biggest/heaviest I can potentially carry on my own. Good thing I don't want to go larger right now anyways.

Good for you!
Just dont over do it, hehehe.
Once you start moving furniture to make room for another tank, you may in deep.
I loved my 29 gallon for many years, then I went and got a 55 gallon. It wont stop Stardancer.Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..
Please remember; every keystroke has a consequence.

congrats. You'll enjoy t he 29. I have a 5 a 30 and a 90. Love them all but if I had to par down to one I'd go with the 30. Offers a lot of options for stock and is a breeze as far as maintenance.

Strider--I already need to move around furniture to fit a stand for the 29! lol Oh well, I need to do a lot of cleaning in this house anyways.
fishmommie--Thanks! :) I'm planning on trying to do all/nearly all of the setup for these two as DIY. That should hopefully keep me entertained a while as well! LOL

Question for those who know better than I...
Would a shelving unit like this one be able to hold the 29 gal once planted and filled and stocked? I thinking maybe the 29 on one level, the 6 on another, and then filters and other accessories on the bottom level. It says that it holds 350lbs per shelf.

XD Welcome to the club. We've been expecting you. MTS is a very common malady in this particular hobby

I could be wrong, but I doubt that shelf would safely hold a 29g. I wouldn't risk it personally.
Welcome to MTS! I recently downgraded from 5 tanks to 2... and now back to 3! Just when you think you're getting out......
