Mollies and Guppies, all male?
Heya! I'm working on my community tank and I was wondering if it would be alright to go with all male mollies and guppies (as well as a few tetras and corys) I'd have 5/6 of both mollies and guppies.
Originally I'd intended to get 1 male and 2 females of guppies, mollies and platties and just let nature work out how to handle the babies, but then I accidentally got 3 male mollies (the store clerk said they were all female and just had their anal fins clamped from the stress of being netted but they're male according to what I've read since getting them home) and I figured that maybe, without females it would be okay for them to all be male? The three I have are still getting acclimated to the QTank in their bag and there don't seem to be any aggression issues despite the small space. I figure as long as my next 2 (since I would up the number if I kept all one gender to spread the aggression) aren't too aggressive then the tank would be fine with just males, but... would it work?
I have a 40 gallon breeder-dimension tank for them, well planted with several good hiding places besides, and I can add a few more plants or small caves and the like if I really need to.
