I have carpenters EXP. and am a fishkeeper who wants a bigger tank .I would love to build one that is 6footlong 3ft wide and 2.5 high. Big glass front .working on week ends how long do you think it would take just to build the tank? It would be home to some kind of catfish. ahh man wrong section.

once you have the materials, it wouldn't take long at all. build a wood stand and frame, seal it all, then install the viewing panel(s). takes awhile for the water-sealer and silicone to cure, so you'd be waiting a week here and there anyways. if you were on the ball and working hard at it, I've seen weekend guys build a tank in a month.Thar she blows!!!

Thanks crispy.this post got put here cause I was dreaming about a predator tank. So what do you think would be good to keep in a tank that big . It would be an almost 100%DIY project so I know ill have to start a journal there but what is a good stocking example of some kinds of catfish I could keep in a tank that size?ask ?'s and change some water pair of JD's and loving it.
