I remember being in my teens sent to my Grandparents in Germany, and helping my grandfather butcher the domestic rabbits he kept out back. The Pigs were all gone by than.
If it tasted good at the supper table, all was good.

It was the way at that time.

Most animals kept that way had a fairly good life and would certainly qualify as free range or organic now.

Yeah but so would a city rat be considered free range organic.

This joke is great. It insists that the people of Poland are not intelligent or of a lesser intelligence than others.

In September of 1939 the German Army staged an invasion into the country of Poland triggering the entry of Britain into World War 2. The German Army swept through and into Poland per the deal it made with Russia to divide Poland between Germany and Russia. The German army began a campaign of extermination of the people of Poland. Between 5 million and 12 million people were butchered in Poland at the hands of the Reich. Any person of intellect was shot upon sight. If you wore glasses you were killed because you could read. Many millions more were sent to prison or slave camps to build fortifications such as those opposing the forces at Normandy and all across Europe and North Africa. The Polish people were one of the few nationals that resisted joining Nazi forces and did not have Polish units within the German army, unlike many other nations, including the French. Upon the defeat of the German war machine Russia swept across Poland and the Russian army wanting to keep Poland further harmed the people of Poland. Upon the end of the war Churchhill wanted Poland to be free and liberated from Russian occupation, most western powers felt it not worth the pursuit and so they abandoned Poland to the mercy of the Soviet power from which it has tried to free itself since the betrayal of the western powers. When the war ended Russia did not inform the Poles that it had, they occupied the nation for many years insisting it was still underway all the while building a base from which to occupy the nation and hunting down Poles who could cause issues for a Soviet occupation.

My family had between 75 to 100 members massacred at this time in Poland. Enjoy your humor.
