  1. Default hybrid markings on dwarf gourami?

    Hi!

I've had a power blue dwarf gourami for about six months. He's very active, & loves to eat. No problems between him and any of my other fish (4 cories, 2 bolivian rams, 9 tiger barbs in a 48 gal tank). No abnormal behavior, no signs of injury or illness to any tank occupants. Water temp is 73, all water conditions OK, regular weekly water changes of 25-50%, fully cycled mature tank.

Over the past month or so, he's developed a dark spot right in the middle of his tail fin. It looks exactly like the spots you see on a three spot gourami.

I'm wondering if this is just a normal mark maybe caused by a genetic combination? Or is this a bruise, or...?
