The rain held off long enough for a decent visit to the Fortress of Louisbourg. During the heaviest part we were standing inside one of the soldiers' barracks up by the King's Bastion, talking to one of the staff in period costume. He even let us hold his musket. Those things are heavier than they look.
They needed more than three buses shuttling people back and forth from Fortress to visitor's center, though. The lines and wait times were simply insane.
The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of the act

We went camping for the Canada Day weekend, and I went fishing :). Caught a bunch of catfish, a small largemouth bass, a few sheephead (kind of like carp) and a freshwater clam. It was a muddy/murky river so nothing too exciting there to catch and definitely nothing to keep, but it's all about the fun. Those catfish can be so nasty with the sharp ends on their fins, thankfully I didn't get stung by them this year. They sure make a funny croaking noise though.Don't poke the crazy
