  1. Default Peaceful Dwarf cichlids for new tank

    0 Not allowed!
I'm looking into starting a community dwarf cichlid tank. it would at the least be a 25 gallon if not larger and i can adjust to most water parameters required for the fish. I already have one bristled nosed pleco and a few cory cats from another tank that i plan to transfer into this new tank once its been established. my main question is what are the best community dwarf cichlids for the tank that i'm looking to set up?

A male and it's harem of a Dicrossus cichlid species. There is also the nannacara's that would be suitable.

If this is your first time with dwarf cichlids, try cockatoo apistogramma, Kribensis or bolivian rams. They are some of the easier ones.

+1, i would go with a ram or kribensis. albino kribs are pretty neat
i hear some people say, "i kept a goldfish in a bowl and it lived for a year."
they don't know how lucky they were and all goldfish live at least 15 years in proper conditions.
that is equal to saying my human lived in his closet for 5 years!

look into a 30g breeder tank. It is a perfect size for a project like this because it has a larger footprint (36" x 18")

No cichlids are really community or peaceful, but rams or kribensis are probably your best bet. A pair would be the max in that size tank with some "spectator" fish such as tetras of some sort.
    MY tank: 2 GBR's 2 EBR's 6 rasbora hets 1 cory
