Thanks so much, I saw him sitting still and I thought the reflection was a cool picture, so I grabbed the camera and captured the moment. Lucky!
Also, my camera is a basic point and shoot. What I do is put the mode on shutter speed priority and for my lighting I find 1/40 to 1/60 is pretty good. Then, when I upload the picture, I adjust the lighting more with photoshop. Thats about it!

I actually just took a pic of my tank and used windows live photo and it looks 100x better than it did. I really have never thought about doing stuff like that

Just keep in mind that minor adjustments for contrast and brightness are OK for pics entered in the comps, but major changes/editing to pic will disqualify it from being entered in the comps.
Thanks for posting the tip about shutter speed, I will try that with my camera.

Thanks everyone. Couldn't believe it when those two posed for me so prettily. And I have a plain digital camera too. Sometimes it takes 10 or 20 shots to get a good one.
Congrats DDavis for winning 1st place. That's a great photo. Now a stupid question. What kind of gourami is that? It's gorgeous.

Gold gourami? It looks like a yellow version of an opaline.
