Plants MINUS Snails?
I want to get a few plants for my 10g and my LYS has lots, but they also have snails on them. I don't want the snails at all so is there something I can do to get snails/snail eggs off the plants before adding them to my tank? I'll have very easy to grow plants for my low tech aquarium. Anubias, moss ball..simple stuff. Thanks guys!

Whenever I get new plants, I rinse them in a bucket of water and pick off any visible snails/eggs. To make sure I've killed off any snail eggs, I dunk the plants in a mix of water and potassium permanganate. Be careful with potassium permanganate it will turn your clothes/hands purple, so wear gloves if you decide to use it.

also dipps in aluminum sulfate and bleach solutions will kill off snails. the bleach can be harsh on some plants so its not a favorite, i think the potassium permanganate is the favorite tho.KING OF THE GOLD BARBS RAWR!!!!

you could also get a snail to eat the other snails.
if you get one or two assassin snail it will eat the others and doesn't breed often.
also it is a neat addition to the tanki hear some people say, "i kept a goldfish in a bowl and it lived for a year."
they don't know how lucky they were and all goldfish live at least 15 years in proper conditions.
that is equal to saying my human lived in his closet for 5 years!
