    I have actually had these guys for a littler over two years. They were given to me, and have never been aggressive, So i would like to try and get more. I have asked before for an id, but no one as of yet has been able to come up with one......sooooooo without further ado

    Fish: 4 Blue Gourami| 2 Yoyo Loaches | 6 trillineaus cories| 6 jullis |3 Unknown Cichlids| 2 spotted raphael catfish| 1 Gold fish
    Plants: None.
    Substrate: Flourite
    Filtration: Rena Filstar XP2, FLuval FX5 (seeding for the 75 gallon tank)

    He really looks like a ciclid of some kind to me.

    agree that its a cichlid but beyond that I'm not really sure. It has some real nice colors, wouldn't mind one myself.

    It's absolutely a cichlid. I'd say South American. It looks small in which case I'd guess something from the apistogramma family based on the tail shape and the rear part of the dorsal fin.

    Good call!!! That would explain the absence of markings on the body which is quite rare for apistogramma. http://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/nannacara-anomala/

    It could also be a curviceps cichlid. I'm probably wrong but these are what this fish reminded me of, with shape especially.
    Tanks: 30 gal community and 10 gal shrimp/community
