Went out looking for Java moss and came home with more fish, couldn't help myself. I have been looking at these little guys for 2 weeks now, went with my friend- who kicked it off by buying some white clouds and I figured I couldn't let him leave having been the only one with goodies. I paid for 8, they only had 7- so they credited me for 1. When they come in I will be getting the 8th. In a couple weeks I will be ordering 16 Emperor tetras as well. My Severum is all ahoo with the new comers, but he will settle down soon. It's nice seeing a cute little shoal darting around in there.

    agreed. we need picts!
You're going to love your Colombians. Someone here - Lady Hobbs i think - brought them to my attention. I've had a school of 8 for almost a year now. very hardy, very social and not one bit aggressive. and when they are happy, their colors are incredible - every bit as pretty as congo tetras. I've had them under a 50/50 florescent bulb and an led bulb and they look great either way. congrats!

will post pics when I get a chance, I promise. These little guys are already showing much better color than they were just a few hours ago in the store, where they looked straight silver with red fins. I'm happy with the choice to buy them.

The neatest thing about this fish is; the bigger they get the more colorful they get. Great choice!

I have 2 shoals of 8 in different tanks. One shoal is made up of very young, small CTs and the other is made up of juvenile and adult CTs. The color displayed by the younger shoal is just as vibrant as the older shoal. Anyway, both are hardy, healthy and very colorful. I have noticed that feeding frozen brine shrimp once or twice per week really brings out their colors.
When in doubt, do a water change.

I usually feed my other fish bloodworm twice a week and that seems to do a great job for their color I have been thinking of trying brine shrimp on them, so now it seems I have a good reason to. Thanx.

You could also consider Al's freeze dried blood worms. I feed them to my discus and its practically all they eat... wont even go to beef heart.
