Fish for 29 reef tank
0
I currently have a 29 biocube that is home to an azure damsel, saddle blennie, and a firefish. It has been up since Christmas and has 3 well developed soft corals, we had a small clown who died of unknown causes, are there any tangs, butterflies, or dwarf angles that could coexist in this tank? Thanks.

Fish and corals demand a good filtration system. Are you using mechanical filters or live rock, is there a sump attached? It is tough to recommend more inhabitants unless your complete set-up is available to make the decision.
Even then, how are your weekly test results for nitrates and your water change schedule?
Sorry to sound so clinical but I would hate to give you an answer that would jeopardize your tank as it is right now.

Currently we have both live rock and mechanical filtration, we don't have a sump tank though. Nitrates are very low and we do a 10% water change every week.

Strider... it's a Biocube... it's an all-in-one system so there won't be a sump. ;)
Master JW, there are no Tangs or Butterflies that are appropriate for a system that small. About the only angel I'd recommend for that tank would be a Pygmy angel, unfortunately they do get somewhat aggressive.

Yeah I know the angles are sum what aggressive, but so are damsels so they might keep each other in line.

Probably not. the biggest issue you have with adding aggressive fish to the tank is the fact that you have the Firefish in there. Those are rather passive and in the presence of fish that are much more aggressive, they tend to hide.

Are there any oddball fish or semi aggressive fish that could work, I don't want something that everyone has.

My feedback would remain the same as in your other thread where you asked the same question

If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
