  1. Default new set up questions

A friend of mine is building a new house and I have agreed to buy his wife's 125g reef. I plan on breaking down my fowlr and combining some of my equipment with hers. She has metal halides on it but I want to switch to led. I have an AI Sol that I am not using right now and was planning on buying another one. Are 2 Sols enough for a 125g (6 ft. long)? Next question, what is a safe container to store water, live rock and livestock in while i am doing the switch over? I was just going to get a couple of Rubbermaid containers that I can use for something else when I am done, but i want to make sure the plastic is safe before i go out and spend the money.

I can't speak to the AI Sols, not familiar with them. But lots of people have used rubbermaids for aquarium use, so you should be all good there. Just give it a wash and good rinse before use.

    +1 the the rubbermaid container

I am using 4 SOLs on my 6 foot tank which seams to be pretty good, but I certainly could use two more. Only having two would not give you a even light on a 6 foot tank
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
