I think we're going to need a bigger tank!
Ok, out of shear boredom today I think I've done something stupid... talked myself into a bigger tank
My 55 is great.... but the narrow width is very limiting... so I am thinking of upgrading it to a 75, and selling the 55 (i only have room for 4' of length)
With this, I am thinking a DIY stand (and maybe canopy)
Am I going to be killed by my fiance... maybe, but... I am thinking total "upgrade" costs would be around $200 for the new tank and lumber. Plus I can build a stand for all 3 of my 10g at the same time.
So. I am going to propose the change to her later today (please god let her be in a good mood) and if I get the go ahead I will start gathering materials probably tomorrow and start the stand this weekend

Just a suggestion, set it up and transfer everything while she's out and see if she notices the difference? Worked for me once when I upgraded from a 40 to a 55 a few years back, LOL.Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.

I like the 75g, plus I don't want that big (that would require a filtration upgrade)
Plus I don't think I will tweak much with the tank other than adding sand (two types of substrate) and some nice rock hardscape
I am already looking at different scapes I like to see how I could work it with what I have

Can you post a pic of it, I found 2 that I liked. Just simple 2x4 that would be stained
