  1. Default Question about stocking my aquarium?

So i have had my 29 gallon up and running for about 5 months now. I currently have 7 tiger barbs, a bristle nose and a rubber lip pleco. I have noticed the barbs getting aggressive with my bristle nose lately so i am donating them to my LFS to get something different. I decided i am going to get shell dwellers so i bough aragonite sand today and changed out the gravel. How many of these could fit with my two plecos? I was also wondering if the shellys and plecos would work with cory cats as i really like them. Thank you all.

None of these fish will enjoy the hard water and bare surroundings that are best for shell dwellers.

The shell dwellers will only make the problem worse. You got rid of the tiger barbs because they were aggressive, and now you are essentially planning to replace them with something more aggressive and that shares the same bottom dwelling tendencies. Since you have already started in the direction, you could rehome the plecos, not get the cories and have a tank with only shell dwellers

And that would work well in a 29g provided you'd take the time to get the ph and gh where they should be with some rift salt mix.
