    How is the egg crate sitting in the tank? Did you create ledges or silicone them on?

    for cleaning purposes i cut half inch strips of acrylic and siliconed them to the walls. then cut the egg crate to fit on the ledges.

    I think it is necesary to mention that thanks to everyones help it went pretty smooth. Cliff's articles were really informative and helpful. I set it up and turned it on with no need for fine tuning or anything. Checked for leaks and found none. I guess my calculations were pretty good. I got a pump putting out 1200gph but from the head height and all the unions and joints it worked out just right. So thanks everyone.
