Why did my 6 line wrasse die?
I had a seemingly healthy and hardy 6 line wrasse die today. I had this thing for close to a yr. I have had fish randomly die in the past but I figured it was cause of high nitrates cause of my poor husbandry. I've been keeping 0-5ppm nitrates for about two-three weeks now. Down from extremely high nitrates. Could that cause it? All my fish seemed more active and healthy lately for obvious reasons, I wasn't poisoning them with high nitrates. I tested my nitrites and Ammonia recently and they were at 0. Could a coral kill the fish cause I got a few new lps. Can aptasia kill it? Cause I have one that I've been trying to kill for awhile. Or could my valitine puffer kill it? Just weird. The 6-line seemed fat and healthy. Could it be over fed? I've been feeding a lil more with the addition of the a few new fish and spot feeding the frog spawn.72 gallon saltwater

How did you reduce the nitrates and how long did that take ?
What are your other parameters right now (dKH, Cal, pH, salinity, temp..... ) ?
What did you feed your 6 line wrasse ?
6 line wrasses are pretty hardy fish so this does seam very odd. As you have been loosing other fish as well, I would guess either your parameters are off or they are not stable. I don't think your puffer would have done this as they are among the more peaceful puffersIf you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

also what have you been using to deal with the aiptasia?
I used aip-x a few times. the last time I used it I witnessed my file fish and goby eating the aip-x, tried to stop them.
it says non toxic but both fish and a further goby were dead the next dayUsed to try and keep track of my fish here.....
