so i did a pwc on my stocked 20 gallon high yesterday did notice any water around the base / stand area. I woke up today notice some water base half of it in the front and in the back soaked it with a towel went back in the room a few hours later saw some more. I have no idea where its coming from i check the 4 corners up and down dont see an water. If it's coming from some where i suspect its near the base in the back which is a pain to access on the stand / against a wall. Should i go out and get another 20 gal high just the tank i suspect moving every thing over is going to be sorta a pain for me . i kinda want to removed the blueish clown vomit anyway gah this is not how i wanted to spend my sunday =\.

Try and pinpoint where it is coming from.
shine a flashlight at different angles to find a small crack, or maybe the crack is on the base.
Either way, i'd get another tank asap. if something gives, you'll have a huge mess on your hands and a much worse situation.
sorry to hear this has happened. it is one of my worse fears too.

well that was a fun 2-3 hour long project moving into the new 20 gallon etc. as far as the old 20 gallon that definetly has a leak near the seals near the base how might i go about repairing that. pretty sure its a seal near the base guessing i can redo the aquarium silicon. tis a shame they didn't have a 25 gallon or a 30 gal high to upgrade to . then again store was clossing in liek 1 hour or so limited options on a sunday.

When I go fishing I just throw sharp rocks in the water and wait for the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Dear naps, sorry I hated you so much when I was a child... Love me

the worst part about thsi is i wanted to replace my clown vomit blue gravel but its kinda hard to find a place with heritage red turface on a sunday. so im stuck with blue gravel again til i buy that and then i have to rescape again Grr. this weekend going to attempt to locate the leek really dont see any cracks. Going to take cliffs suggestion and use a flash light when i get a chance really think its just a seal near the base. Going to try resealing it doing a leek check over the weekend outside.

Do you remember who you bought the old tank from? Some tanks carried by petsmart/petco do have lifetime warranties on them.

the warranty is a selling feature. prior to having them, you gambled on the quality of the tank, and to ensure to your customers that yours is the best, you stand behind the warranty of the tank not breaking. plus, the science behind building glass tanks is simple, so it's not difficult now a days to have a tank last you 10 years with no issue.
of course there are exceptions, like what you are experiencing now.
