How old do I have to be to get an internship at a store like Petsmart or Petco? I've noticed that I know a lot more than some of their employees about fish. (no offense to those who are educated employees). I asked an employee how much to feed my community fish, and he said, "just enough of flake things or whatever food so they finish it like quickly and like dont leave any extra or like they might die."

What do you mean uneducated? It sounds like the employee you talked to really seemed to know his/her stuff
But I know how you feel, even the employees who have been their for awhile seem to make no effort to learn about the things they are selling. In response to your question, I would assume you would have to be about 16 years old, 18 for a full job. But ask your local petsmart and petco, as they would know better than I would.Tanks: 30 gal community and 10 gal shrimp/community

They don't have internships for the same reason the guy stocking the poptart shelves at your local grocery store isn't in one..
It's not required to fulfill their role there [Stocking shelves, Netting fish & Making correct change are all larger parts of their training than the few hours they get wrt basic animal care].
If you want a job there - Get a job there [& SHINE], A one eyed man is king in the land of the blind .
Gas mileage isn't everything OIIIIIIIO
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
Why pretend there are no stupid questions? Actually, There are many stupid questions: "Should I drink this bleach?" Is just one example.
Having said that, Just because it's a stupid question doesn't mean that it shouldn't be asked. It's better to know.
A warm beer is better than a cold beer. Because nothing is better than a cold beer, and a warm beer is better than nothing.
