    Default New treat for shrimp?

I threw a fresh mushroom in the tank just to see what the shrimp would do with it. They are all over it. I guess they will eat about everything.

A mushroom.... I would have never thought to try one.

    Very imaginative Lady Hobbs.

I agree with your observation, shrimp will attempt to eat anything and everything they can.
Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..

Please remember; every keystroke has a consequence.

Makes sense when you think about it. Quite a bit of protein in a mushy packages, shrimp banquet! Trying a single piece of dried and uncooked spaghetti is also fun but that should be removed after 12 hours or so or it gets messy.

I've tried fruits and veggies of all sorts, dead plants, live plants, it doesn't seem to really matter. They eat anything and everything. Even found a use for old fish food, shrimp will eat it right up.

I've even put rcs into the small tanks I put fish eggs into while waiting for them to hatch. They will deal with any fungus on the eggs, and leave the viable ones alone.
