More Smiles all round and a few questions
So its been 16 days since I first saw purple and today I come home and find
I have been doing some reading but my main choice of fish has always been neon tetras (childhood thing). let me say now, I would rather have neons over cardinals but can change if required. I have read in a few places that they prefer soft water with a low PH. I have always thought of them to be quite hardy? I know my water is about a medium hardness. Once i do a water change i will check my PH. Clearly i don't wish to start messing with the PH or hardness so I wondered if anyone has had any problems/advice?
I would really like to fill the tank with mainly Neons. I was wondering how many can I reasonable fit in a well planted tank with a large piece of mangrove (see my other post for a photo, ill put a new one up when i get a chance)?
Also i was looking at something to go with them. I would really love a betta to add a big splash of colour. I have seen a few examples of them together on line but wanted to ask just in case.
I had one last thing eyed up. Maybe some kind of Shrimp to add another splash of colour. I have read in a few places that small ones can often be preyed upon by the betta. Has anyone got any good types which might fit in?
Thanks again everyone for helping me get this far. I hope to gain some new experience and start to give back to the community very soon.

Neons should to fine in your tank; most of them have been tank raised and as long as you slow-acclimate them you should be fine.Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.
