great confusing deal
i just got 2 heaters. and aquaclear 30 filter. and 10-15 lbs of gravel for 25 bucks!
the problem is the i don't know what type of heaters they are.
these are intended to be used for a 10 gallon. (heaters don't say that but i want to use them for a 10)
they are adjustable heaters.
they are both about 8 inches in length.
one says hagen radiant heater. the other just says aquarium heater.
when i searched hagen radiant heater one came up that was 8 inches long.
but it said elite and mine doesn't say that, it said it was 75 watts though.
also the elite one wasn't adjustable.
is there anyway i can find out how many watts the heaters are.

Post pictures of them and I'm sure someone will recognize them.

You can still read the labels but they don't give you much information.
I wil post a picture after school.

and i forgot to sat i think they are both 75 watts (random guess).
i know a 10 gallon needs a 50 watt to work best but if i put 1 these in the 10 and adjust it to a lower temperture will i be fine. even if they are 100 watts?

as long as it fits size wise and is installed correctly, you could have any size heater in there over 50watts.

the only warning on these hob heaters is that you dont want the water to evaporate to much. the heater uses the tank water to cool its self down and if taken out and left on it could fry (like during a water change)FW: 1 45gal, 1 40gal, 3 10gal, 3 30gal all community tanks of different species
