    Default snail eggs question

    0 Not allowed!
about two weeks ago one of my two spixi snails(a type of apple snail) laid over half a dozen clumps of eggs.
up to now they haven't seemed to change at all. they still are the translucent white like on the day they were laid. my questions are:
    - how long does it take apple snail eggs to hatch?
    - do snails randomly lay unfertilized eggs like say, chickens?

apple snail eggs must be laid in a spot that is above the waterline but still humid. Otherwise they won't hatch. They should be more of a opaque color than translucent if I remember correctly. I had one clutch hatch once... don't remember how long it took.

I don't know if all apple snail species need to lay their eggs above water, but this snail has laid them willy nilly all over
with none over the water. maybe its just the species' way or maybe its got some behavioral problem.
