    Default Help with Bug/Insect ID

    0 Not allowed!
A friend of the family phoned me the other day and said that he had came across some bugs that He thought I might like. He was going to throw them out so I salvaged them. Gave them a good wash and buff up, some are spectacular. Unfortunately they didnt have ID cards. So I wont overload the thread with pics, I will go through them one by one.

    Heres the lot of them

Neat! How about aEupholus schoenherri, a blue weevil. http://travel.mongabay.com/indonesia...apua_0343.html Bring on the next one!

If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.

You might want to wander over to http://www.whatsthatbug.com/ where you can submit a picture of your bug and get it id'ed. They also have a nice archive of past pictures you can browse through.

The first one looks like a brown palm weevil, this is the best picture I can find of one that looks like yours.

The other one looks like a whip scorpion, but I can't find one with the same colors as yours.

Second one looks like a Thelyphonida.
Also if you know where they come from, please do tell it can rule out alot of options.

That's interesting, I've never seen them here. I've seen plenty of the run of the mill scorpions, but never a whiptail.
