Thanks for sharing and I look forward to the pictures of your Cardinals in a big school.

    Thanks Steeler1!

The new cardinals are really small, so I hope their time in QT lets them grow a bit.

I'll try to do a video of the school because pictures just don't do justice on how cool this looks!

I don't know if this is normal or it is my lights, but pending where the Cardinals are in the tank-they are reflecting different colors-purple, blue, bright blue, teal. It is AWESOME. lol

Super looking tank. Really like it. Your stock is interesting - nice contrasting colours and, no doubt, plenty of activity.

Minor suggestions: Can you do anything to hide the heater behind the wood at all? And perhaps add a black background.

Good for you, gotta start somewhere and better on a small scale and then step up with bigger tanks. I'm glad I had my trial run and failed horribly to learn that I need low demanding/tech set ups.

Thanks! I'm contemplating adding in like 20RCS for fun.
I've tried to hide that heater, and am just waiting for the plant 'wall' to grow in to cover it up. May look for another piece of driftwood to help too. I just got an oversized heater and I didn't take into account how ugly it is.

I actually have a black background sitting on the floor... I'm going to see how a black felt looks.

Your tank looks great! Adding the background will make it look even better. I'm jealous, I could never get vals to grow in my tanks.
When I go fishing I just place a sharp rock in the water and sit there waiting for all the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher
Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

From that angle, in my expert opinion, I would indeed say he was a male. He's beautiful! Mine doesn't color up that much....are your bolivians a pair?

Thanks! Just put on the black background and it's nice not to see through the tank anymore!
Bummer you couldn't grow them! I love how they 'dance' with the current. What prevented you from growing the vals?
I'm curious so I can check to make sure I don't mess up their growth.

I thought he was a male too.
I'll try to get a pic of the other one...he/she is a bit more shy. The only difference I can explain is that it has less 'elongated' fins, and a black stripe over the eye. I'm not sure if that defines a female or not.
Either way, they are best buds, flare up as rams do once in a while but always are around one another with no issues.
