My driftwood finally sunk and with fertilizer and co2 my plants are doing well (besides a few high light plants I got by mistake) it's almost done. I need to get some crypts etc over aquabid to replace the lace plant and swords which need more light than I have. Also I wanna pickup some more plants to attach to my large piece of driftwood. Fish wise I plan to get a GBR color morph when my tanks really matured and I'm done. These are all cell phone shots but they aren't bad I still need to get myself a digi cam.

Long time fish keeper most experience with CA/SA cichlids, natives like sunfish, and aggressive catfish.
Currently have a 29g planted with 14 candy cane tetras, 6 sterbai corys, 6 melini corys, a roided out tiger angelfish and 1 mustache wearing albino longfin pleco.
Oh and they all get along amazingly!!! went through 4 BN plecos and 2 angelfish until I got ones with the right temperament but it's the most mellow tank now.

I don't think there is anything ghetto about your tank. When I hear the term ghetto tank, I think of guys who keep big fish is blow up swimming pools in their basements

Yours is very nice. Good job!!

I meant when I first posted pics I had my driftwood tied to a rock etc it was ghetto then you could find that post a few down from this one to compare; now it's actually decent. Like I said tho I need to take out some of the high light plants and put some crypts etc in. Though my Madagascar lace plant is holding up alright it's mainly the amazon swords that need to go.

Thx I owe a lot to members on this site I had no idea how to manage a planted tank before.

Vey nice fishguy, those candy canes look great in there. I realy like the big piece of driftwood.
