I am pretty new to aquariums. My Dad had them when I was a kid, but I was pretty little so I don't remember much. My boyfriend and I saw a second-hand aquarium for cheap, so we decided to try it out. It's our first tank.
We have a 20g, planted tank with 4 koi angelfish, seven black-phantom tetras, five corydoras and one small pleco of some kind that won't grow very big. What do you think of the community we've set up? Is our tank too full? Good? My boyfriend kinda wants to get some fishes that dwell at the top of our tank, but I think it'd be too much. We were also given a 50g tank but we haven't set it up yet because one of the glass panes needs to be replaced first.
I just stumbled upon this forum and I'm looking forward to doing lots of reading and learning :)

Welcome to the forum, be prepared to put those angels in the 50g once you get it up and cycled. If you aren't positive what the nitrogen cycle is read up on it.
Make sure you know what type of pleco it is, most (if not all will outgrow a 20g) and they poop a lot.
I think the tetras and cories are fine, probably could add 1-2 more cories, but I would think the pleco and angels should go in the 50g depending on its dimensions

"a small pleco of some kind that won't grow very big". I've heard that before, quite often about the ones that grow out to be 12 inches or more.
On the plus side... 4 angles in a 50 gallon with decor set to break up sightlines could work and would be a nice tank. You could bring up the tetras to an even dozen, get 3 more cories and have a stable community with getting rid of excess angel fry as your only worry.
