    My pH is 7.6 and loaded with driftwood and it didn't lower it a bit and even if it did, it would be short term.
    Fish will adapt to the higher pH.

    His home is new to him. Give him a chance to get used to it.

    They are, he'll gain those colors back.

    but as that pic shows-it looks like gold ram rather than a GBR. we'll see in a few weeks once it colors up and matures a bit.

    in lfs it said german blue ram,
    and he really looked like one too,
    even if he is a gold ram idc, still a beautiful fish
